1993 Blue Jays and Mets Agree To Blockbuster Trade

The New York Mets and Toronto Blue Jays agreed to terms on a historic trade this afternoon involving major stars for both teams.

Devon White and Paul Molitor will head to New York, while Dwight Gooden and Robert Bonilla are now Blue Jays.

The Mets were desperate for a deal after starting off the season 7-20, dead last in the division. The Blue Jays are still sitting in the middle of the AL East pack. We’ll see if this improves the fortunes of either team as the season rolls on.
